Design Finland 100 is an innovative platform bridging the Nordic region and Southeast Asia through intelligent design and technology solutions. It brings Nordic design, innovations, and technology to Southeast Asia and strives to create growth for Nordic companies. Design Finland 100 is also the official partner of the Suomi Finland 100 independence programme in 2017.

Via Design Finland 100, we are building new relationships with academic institutions and business partners in Asia — home to 674 million people. Through Nordic Business and Design Case Competition, go-to market strategies, and international design and business events, Design Finland 100 create awareness, recognition, exposure, and international presence for their customers. Additionally, Design Finland 100 are looking at the concept of design from the branding perspective, which means that design needs to bring differentiation for a product or service. It needs to have aspirational features and made desirable for the consumers, whether they are in the B2B or B2C industries.

Design Finland 100’s key drivers are innovation, growth, digitalisation, and design.

The mission of Design Finland 100 is to share the story of Finnish design, not just in the "art sense" but also in the business sense.
Design Finland 100 have four themes related to design: Product Design, Service design, Digital Design and Design and Strategy.

According to the Bloomberg Innovation Index 2015, Finland was ranked No.1 in innovation globally. Innovation influences design greatly — The key drivers of great Finnish design are in its focus on innovation, growth, digitalisation and strategy.

At the heart of Design Finland 100 lies the innovative Nordic Design and Business Case Competition. This is the world’s first Nordic case competition targeted at Southeast Asia, and also prepares students for working life.

A Design Finland 100 Initiative
Design Finland 100 initiates NBDC (Nordic Business and Design Case Competition) throughout 2017-2019, inviting students from all over Southeast Asia to join and showcase their knowledge and design thinking skills.

For the first Nordic Design and Business Case Competition in 2017, the theme of the year was "How can we bring strategic growth for Finnish companies in Southeast Asia"? We involved the top 12 universities across Southeast Asian countries. In addition, we also offered our participants a great opportunity of creating a network of future business contact—not only with fellow participants, and also with the top European industry practitioners and thought leaders.
